SENIORS The BIG day had arrived and we found ourselves playing Park Orchards for the 2017 Premiership Cup. What a fantastic effort by the team over the previous three weeks to reach this final game of the season. The Hangar had been jumping all week and the Jets Army were out in force. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny Spring day – at last. The time had arrived and the boys ran out through a banner with the words: Reward – Respect – Redemption – Ruthless – Grit – Time to Live our Dream! Match Reports: Preliminary Final

SENIORS WOW … six weeks ago the Seniors slipped to sixth spot on the ladder with two home and away matches to go. They had to win the last two games of the season and rely on the results of other teams to give them a chance of participating in finals. Fast forward to this weekend and after three tough, well-fought finals wins they find themselves facing Park Orchards playing off for a Premiership and a chance to move up to Division 2 for the first time since the early 1980’s. This is what football dreams are made of! But not only are the Seniors playing for the holy grail, so too are our Under 19’s who have had a fantastic season. Match Reports: Semi Finals

SENIORS The Seniors were again the underdogs going into the first semi-final against Templestowe, but the confidence was high after a hard fought win the week before. The only change this week was Regan Davis out injured and replaced by Joel Merrett. The team was greeted by strong windy conditions for the second week that would play some part in the game. Co-Captain Dylan Sverns won the toss and chose to kick with the wind in the first quarter – a decision that would prove vital in the outcome of the match!
