RESERVES After the agonising close loss in extra time last week, the boys were confident of overrunning Boronia, having won well the last time the two teams had met. It was a hard week for the selectors, with the Seniors out of contention there were a few players who were eligible to play in the Squad. The ins were Lachie Sverns, Jack Hendriks, Ben Irvine who had played most of the season with the Squad, and the team welcomed back Taylor Van Der Wal and Dylan Robson-Long from injury. Joel Cordwell to stand down as Senior Coach for 2019

The Heathmont Football Netball Club advises that Joel Cordwell has recently informed the club of his decision to not seek reappointment as Senior Coach for next year, as he looks to pursue other opportunities in 2019 and beyond. Joel’s professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge over the past three seasons as Senior Coach have been outstanding. He leaves with a very impressive win/loss record and after taking the club to successive finals appearances in each of his three seasons at the helm, including the 2017 Division 3 Grand Final. His passion and commitment to driving improvement has seen him position our club very favourably for the future, with an exciting list of young and up-coming play

Match Reports: Semi Finals

SENIORS It was another must-win match for the Seniors, to keep their finals chances alive. One forced changed at selection saw Jack Hendricks – after a fantastic game the previous week in the DSquad – come in for an injured Callum Norris. The cold weather had returned, with the rain and wind providing greasy conditions for both sides. There was a lot at stake for both sides and it was evident from the first bounce, as both teams applied the pressure.
