The Heathmont Football Netball Club is excited to announce the appointment of Kyle Emley as Senior Football Coach of the Jets for Season 2019, following a comprehensive process to secure the best available candidate for the position.

Kyle, who began his football career with the Heathmont Juniors, returns to the club after a successful playing career which has included stints at the Bayswater FC, Box Hill FC, Northern Blues FC, the Vermont FC (including being Vice-Captain in 2015-16), and most recently Collegians FC, where he was also an Assistant Coach during their 2018 season that saw them come Runners-Up in the VAFA Premier Division.

Club President, Rob Parker, announced that the Jets had sought a “young and dynamic coach to lead our talented playing group forward into what promises to be a very exciting and competitive restructured EFL Division 2 in 2019”. “Kyle is a highly motivated and enthusiastic coach who, despite his relatively young age, will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from his time playing and being involved as a leader and coach at some of the best and most successful clubs in the EFL, VFL and VAFA”.

“We believe that Kyle will be a tremendous asset to our club both as coach, and as a player, and that he will provide tremendous leadership and direction to both the young and more experienced members of our playing group”.

A Player’s Meet the Coach Evening will be held this Wednesday 24th October at the Heathmont Bowling Club beginning at 6.30pm – all 2018/2019 Senior and Under 19 players are invited to attend. It would be great to see all players in attendance to welcome our new coach and to hear him outline his plans for pre-season and beyond.

Further coaching appointments & player signings will be announced in the coming weeks. The Heathmont Jets FNC is genuinely excited to have Kyle return to our Club and we extend a very warm welcome both him and his partner Emily.
